Created by students and alumni and authorized by Chancellor Carol Folt in January 2019, the Asian American Center was launched virtually in Fall 2020. Serving the largest ethnic community at UNC, the center claims as its mission “to cultivate a critical understanding of Asian American peoples, cultures, and histories . . . [t]hrough education, organizing, and advocacy.”
