The program draws participants from around the world, and has been awarded the North Carolina Humanities Council’s Joel Gradin Award for Excellence in Public Humanities. In partnership with the National Humanities Center, a post-symposium teachers’ initiative encourages middle and high school teachers to use online tools for projects that introduce students to Austen and her works.
