Oct 6 Ladies shopped in A.M. + I
Went to National Portrait Gallery
Mostly of historical interest and
not many masterpieces. Then
to the National Gallery for a
brief visit. Tramped most of
the afternoon and attended
Palace theater in evening and
saw Gaby Deslys. Her dancing
+ acting was course [sic] + disappointing.
Oct 7 Ladies shopped in A.M.
+ Mrs. Ralph Hichox [?] called in
P.M. I had a stomach upset
and did not leave the
apartment or eat anything.
Oct 8 Feeling all right today
Ladies shopped in morning.
Went with ladies in P.M. to
see the moving picture lecture
of Capt Scotts trip to the Pole
Very int. Dinner in parlor
