hall with bath + maids room
opening from it + 3 large bedrooms,
6 guineas. Trunks
did not come on train.
Sept 1 Found cable from Ed
at Brown Shipleys saying
all well the first word
from home. Could not sell
any Dutch money at Cooks
Saw them about passage
home + am to call tomorrow
to see what they can offer
The whole City is covered
with placards trying to
arouse enthusiasm about
war to get recruits.
Mother + Nellie shopped in
morning + I walked with N.
up Regent St. in P.M. Dined
in restaurant + went to the
Palace theater to see the
Passing show with Elise
Janis. Silly show + very long
moving pictures at end of
war scenes in Belgium
