evening in which the Vernon
Castles furnished most of the
entertainment. They danced
beautifully + gave a rag time
on piano + a combination of
drums, simbol [sic], whistles etc
in which he showed himself
quite an expert
Fog occasionally all day +
evening, causing us to slow up.
July 23 Sea still smooth but
cool + cloudy. Wind N.W.
Had deck games for children in
afternoon. N. + Mother both
walk considerably. Mr. Sexton
of N.Y. called at rooms in PM

dance in evening with prizes
Mr + Mrs Castle were judges
Jep is quite intimate with Mr
