Those who had no funds
would be helped but had
to give some security for
repayment. Mr Breckenridge
addressed the crowd later
from the Embassy window
saying they would sell
tickets through to London
where a committee would
meet + assist Americans
+ that most of the English
lines were running to Amer.
After waiting in line over 2
hours Jep + I got in and I
succeeded in getting 5 1st
class tickets to Bentheim [London] 26th
I also left N. + Mothers names
for a room in 2nd class
sleeper the only ones on
train. Names must be
examined + answer given
later. Jep went in afternoon
Long wait but got in
+ got the room. Wired
+ got reply from Amstel
Hotel Amsterdam saying
rooms reserved there
