many others. Then on to
Taunton where we got
lunch at the London Hotel
after stopping a few minutes
at Glastonbury to see church
of much historical int but
not much to see. Many old
buildings in town including
the George Inn.
From Taunton by a pleasant
rolling country to Exeter
Arr at 4 + stopped at the
Cathedral to attend a
short war service Have
heard no music at any of
the churches. Cathedral has
an int. front with arcades
+ statues + the finest interior
we have seen delicate and
graceful + beautifully
proportioned. Was restored
50 years ago + stone work
has a fine mellow tone
The screen separating choir
from nave is particularly int
+ the hall carved wooden
