Oct 6 Ladies shopped in A.M. + I Went to National Portrait Gallery Mostly of historical interest and not many masterpieces. Then to the National Gallery for a brief visit. Tramped most of the afternoon and attended Palace theater in evening and saw GabyDeslys. Her dancing + acting was course [sic] + disappointing. Oct 7 Ladies shopped in A.M. + Mrs. Ralph Hichox [?] called in P.M. I had a stomach upset and did not leave the apartment or eat anything. Oct 8 Feeling all right today Ladies shopped in morning. Went with ladies in P.M. to see the moving picture lecture of CaptScotts trip to the Pole Very int. Dinner in parlor
