We went to the 7.20 train an
hour early to insure getting an
Apt although I had reserved
one + bought an extra ticket
No one at depot but by 7 the
train became jammed. Many
Dutch soldiers on our train +
other passing us. Holland is
greatly excited seems to
sympathize with England + thinks
the Germans will not hesitate
to occupy Holland if she can
gain anything by it. Fine
large stations well lighted in
all the Dutch towns and so
much going on that we did
not try to sleep. Arr. Flushing
at 250 two hours late. Had
engaged rooms at the Station
Hotel + on the boat but it was
so late decided to go right
aboard. Jep + I had a small
