In evening Dr. Haldy called +
said the young Am doctors here
would probably all leave this
coming week on advice of one
of their number who had written
them from Holland.
Our ladies are inclined to go
also this week
Unter Den Linden crowded all
afternoon + evening and flags
are flying from every building
to celebrate Germanys great
victory over the French
Aug 24 Jep + I went to Embassy
at 10. Great crowd there + we
all formed in line. A man
from the U.S. Tennessee (Ryan)
whose officers arrived in
town yesterday got on a
chair in the street + called
the crowd around him
Said the U.S. was going to
send a special train out
of Berlin every day + continue
until all Americans were
taken out of Germany
