sail. Everyone said it
would depend on orders from
the Admiralty. We started
at 11 P.M. Fine night. Cool
Oct 11 Misty day + strong
wind. Decks very wet + cold
No sun to give us bearings
+ no one knew whether we were
going North or South of
Ireland. N + Mother have
Room B59 + Jep + I C91
Large fine rooms. Have good
table + stewards. Large roomy
decks + public rooms. Have
chairs on B deck the only
one today suitable to sit or
walk. Ship very steady in
heavy sea. N + Mother sat
on deck in P.M. + Jep + I walked
considerable. Outside windows
either painted black or shaded
Ship not changed otherwise.
Nice looking crowd aboard
Few jews. Many of inexpensive
births not taken + ship
only comfortably full = 3/4ths
