We pass 6 or 7 Ford cars
every day more than all
English makes put together
At Monmouth square were
6 cars of which 5 were Fords
+ 1 Studebaker. Have never
seen so many Mountain
Ash + Thorn trees + all in
very full berry. Quantities
of blackberries now getting
ripe The hillsides or
Wales in the higher parts
are covered with Heather
just past and Gorse in
full bloom. Roads are
mostly lined with thorn
hedges now being trimmed
The ferns are being cut +
dried probably for bedding.
Sept 25 From Chepstow to
Lydney + then turned left
into the Forest of Dean
Soon had our 8 flat tire in
7 days. Found forest unint.
+ got back to main
road at Blakeney + had
rolling pretty country to
