in the tea room at 7m for all
Aug 7 Find day a little cooler
Got together supplies from steamer
baskets. Grant + I went to department
store and got an alcohol
lamp + covered dishes large tea
kettle 4 enamel cups + plates
tea steamer 4 spooms 1 knife
4 cakes soap for 9.87 m.
We have in the cupboard tea
cocoa, coffee, sausage, + with
rolls + milk can get up a good
meal + are going to try tea
in evening + our breakfast
in our rooms. N. did not go
out today but Mother walked
+ I took long walk with Jep
No news at embassy. Let
banks alone today. Took
Cocoa, Tea, + rolls in room
It cost 30 cents + was better
than tea + toast last night
costing $1.90. News tonight
is the capture of Leige Belg.
+ everyone is happy + excited
City remarkably quiet + orderly
+ as well kept as if no war
