Aug 13 Left our passports at the
German Foreign Affairs to be vised
We got a number which we present
to our Embassy 24 hours later and
receive our passports.
Jep drew 100 pds on our Citizens
Letter which they cashed with
out question at the Deutsche
Bank giving 1995 marks
I took a stroll with the ladies
in the morning. A dozen or
more Americans left the Hotel on
the special for Holland. Very
few had accommodations on any
ships + were all trusting to luck
Sent a letter to Helen by and Amer
who said he would mail it in
Holland. I fear they will
have a hard time but I expect
our Ambassador is relieved to get
them off his hands
Beautiful weather About 68°
Very few troops marching today
The Princess of Pless when leaving
the elevator this evening stopped
to say that she though it a
grand thing for the Amer Red
cross to send over such a well
