Our ladies are inclined to go also this week Unter Den Linden crowded all afternoon + evening and flags are flying from every building to celebrate Germanys great victory over the French Aug 24 Jep + I went to Embassy at 10. Great crowd there + we all formed in line. A man from the U.S. Tennessee (Ryan) whose officers arrived in town yesterday got on a chair in the street + called the crowd around him Said the U.S. was going to send a special train out of Berlin every day + continue until all Americans were taken out of Germany
