ƛ̓kʷə́t cn či húʔpt.     ‘I take a/some deer.’

► 1  This article, či, is also very common and useful. It often can be translated with ‘a’ or ‘some’ in English, but it can also be used sometimes when English has no article before the noun.
► 2  Note that this či is not the same as the či that marks a strong command (see §3.1). They just sound the same. In fact, it is possible to have both in one sentence, as in ƛ̓kʷə́t či či húʔpt ‘Take some deer!’ The first či here is the command marker; the second is the article.
