You have seen patterns of reduplication already in the collective plural (§33), the actual (§42.2), and the resultative (§43). This section covers the four remaining Klallam reduplication patterns: ‘diminutive’ ‘characteristic,’ ‘inceptive,’ and ‘affective.’ The diminutive is very common. The other three patterns are not used as often, but they are important in some words.
