8 The Preposition
Many languages have prepositions, but very few, if any, have as many prepositions as English. In fact, there are languages that do not have prepositions at all.
SENĆOŦEN has just one preposition, ¸E. This is a very useful little word. It can be used to translate many English prepositions, but its most common use is in passive sentences where the verb ends in ‑TEṈ or ‑NEṈ. Passive sentences are introduced here because they are so common in SENĆOŦEN. They will be covered in more detail in §33.
