Noreen Garman

Noreen Garman is a professor of administrative and policy studies at the University of Pittsburgh. She began as an English Teacher in the Cleveland Public Schools, moved to higher education through the English department at the University of Pittsburg and subsequently earned a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction at the same university where she later became a professor in the department of education. Her entire career has been spent at the University of Pittsburg. She has been publishing articles and making national presentations since 1971. Most recently she received the Beckman Award ($25,000) for mentoring a student who opened an all girls’ school in Africa.
