I forgot to say last night that Mr. Huffman has gone to Presides to the officers reserve camp. He got a commission as second lieutenant. I am sorry to see him go – but I didn’t see him go for he never said good-bye. I just heard that he went. Mr. Duncan told me at the dance Saturday night that Mr. Huffman wished him to say good-bye to all the Cauthorn friends. That was a short friendship that didn’t pan out as I had hoped. He got digusted with me for dancing and never tho’t I amounted to much. I’m sorry because I liked him.
