With these posters, graphic artist Scott Newman transforms the world of Wonderland into a darker, grittier, and decidedly adult version. In this alternate reality, Alice has become a wandering musician playing the club circuit, and the Queen of Hearts a burlesque performer at the White Rabbit nightclub. Although seemingly at odds with the traditional image of Carroll’s Victorian-era characters, these salacious alternative personas share the mischievous spirit and dual narrative often interwoven in his writings.
