While many submissions to the Wonderland competition focus on themes from the Alice stories, a number of intriguing entries explore Charles Dodgson’s fascination with puzzles. In 1879, he introduced the doublet, in which one word is transformed into another by switching out one letter at a time. In creating his 3-D act of sculptural wordplay, Korb utilized an English dialectics dictionary, thread production manuals, and Carroll’s writings to create a doublet that appears across the top of this hybrid art-puzzle.
