This video shows off a collaborative art piece composed of a narrative book and augmented reality (AR) smartphone application. The designers address recurring Carrollian motifs of physical transformation and shifting perspective through the applied use of AR technology, which allows the viewer to use their phone as a lens or “looking-glass” for interpreting Carroll’s texts. While exploring the AR book, the user symbolically undertakes Alice’s same difficult journey.
