Seeking Stories of Queer California: A Hidden Histories Online Exhibit

Arts

LGBTQ+ communities have always gravitated towards the arts as a way to express queerness, defiance, longing, passion, and self. The forms that this expression takes varies as widely as the people within the community. Arts as a heading covers a wide swath of visual, performing, written, and other works, and we have divided the pieces in this gallery according to the discipline they most closely align with.
