Pride

Pride is the celebration and recognition of LGBTQ+ identities, affirming the visibility, dignity, and diversity of LGBTQ+ communities. Events celebrating LGBTQ+ social and self acceptance, achievements, and rights are usually organized over the course of a week with local events, parades, marches, and rallies. Pride occurs at different times during the year in different places, but in the U.S. is typically held in June to commemorate the Stonewall uprising.
