Seeking Stories of Queer California: A Hidden Histories Online Exhibit

Bisexual People

Bisexual people are individuals who are romantically and/or sexually attracted to more than one gender. Bisexuality exists on a spectrum, and individuals have different preferences and experiences. Bisexual people often face stereotypes and misconceptions about their identity from both within and outside the LGBTQ+ community. Visibility and representation in media, literature, and other cultural platforms help challenge false impressions, support the identities of bisexual individuals, and contribute to a more inclusive society where all sexual orientations are respected and celebrated.
