Italian Migrations - HONOR313_FA18

Dana Tsuri-Etzioni

My name is Dana Tsuri-Etzioni and I am a junior studying communication and journalism. After I graduate college, I hope to go to law school and later become an entertainment lawyer. I have a passion for writing and enjoy writing anything from short stories, to poetry, to articles for SDSU's school newspaper, The Daily Aztec, where I am the social media and engagement manager.

I also enjoy watching movies and listening to music of all genres. One of my favorite things to do is go to concerts, and have been going with my family since I was little. My musical idol is Elvis Presley, and below is a picture of me sitting on his couch in his honeymoon house in Palm Springs.

I was interested in taking this class because I have always wanted to visit Italy - I grew up listening to "On an Evening in Roma" by Dean Martin and have fantasized about visiting Rome myself one day. Therefore when I saw this class, I knew I had to take it and learn more about the culture. My connection to migration is that I am a migrant myself. I moved from Israel to the United States when I was three.
