Puerto Rico's libraries, archives and museums road to recovery: A timeline of events after Hurricane Maria

September 2018

Timeline
On September 20th, 2017, Puerto Rico experienced Hurricane María. In the anniversary of that catastrophic event, many are still working hard to recover. Besides the activities to commemorate the up hill battle Puerto Ricans have endured, we seek efforts in fundraising: #Ricanstruction and Latinxs in Kid Lit (one of many); to help community libraries rebuild their collections. Also, international forums have provided a space to talk about the recovery activities. Furthermore, colleagues from the University of Pennsylvania have presented their collaboration with the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap.
