Rationalization

I purposely didn't add race or gender to my interface. I wanted to see how difficult it would be to break from the norms. I suppose that my interface is still under one umbrella category, "human" and "not human" but to get rid of the other categories was extremely difficult in putting together my questions.

By having the "other" button, I chose to make users pay for the site if they were something outside what my three categories were. I think by doing that, suggests that those who have money are those who have special individualized treatment and will likely have a better outcome. I think that especially in RL money is like the jello that holds us, the fruit in place. I don't see much of a difference in VL.

I also tend to agree with Dibbell that virtual trauma, and joy for that matter can be just as real as real world trauma and joy. But unlike White and Turkle, I do think that there is a difference between your online self and your real life self. I think people change when they realize that they can say and do anything they want without consequences. Morals go out the window, look at Nakamura's article and see how many people cheat, which is morally offensive.
