How to Guide: Creating a New Page in Scalar

(First, please note: if you would like to add pages but are not a part of the project, please contact the editors at agrifood@umn.edu!)

Creating a new page

This is the option to select if you want to share your own content, this is not a media page or live link to another site.

 

  1. Go to the main page of your book,

  2. This page you will be on by default.

  3. If you are in the dashboard, click on the "Back to Book" link on the upper right side of the page

  4. Click on the “new” button

  5. Add your content

  6. Select the layout options you would like and add tags

  7. Make sure you add tags to your page that are appropriate to the topic

  8. Select “Save” at the bottom of the page when you are complete.

  9. To locate your page for further editing or to create a pathway, select “Dashboard” in the upper right corner and select the tab for the type of page you have created.

  10. Editors: Add each page and media you add or create to the Scalar Central Tracking page of the Knowledge Source Assessment spreadsheet
