New Generation: #ChicanaFeminism and the Digital by Michie Ortiz
Chicana Feminism or Xicanisma has a focus on Chicana's standing up against the stereotypes they face. Intersectionality plays a huge role in defining a minority. They are not just their skin color, gender , or class structure. A combination of these traits play a role in their visibility online and in society. Xicanisma has a history of not being acknowledged by White feminism and the Chicano movement. The movement is scattered within different social media platforms but it has the potential to thrive on Twitter.
