OWL

Author’s Vision
The owls were part of my own little nature study. The nest is one of four that I documented. Records of dates for the eggs laid until time of hatch. The eggs were numbered and weighed. The area of the nest was near the Arctic Village of Wainwright, Alaska. A Hasselblad camera was used with numerous lenses. The hardest photo was of the mother as it required a blind, and lots of waiting. In addition, I weighed the chicks as they grew, took body temps, recorded their feeding and type of food, etc. I was there with the birds. It all lasted about three months. All birds had left the nest by August 16th.
