Understory is the annual anthology of achievement in English Studies (creative writing, language and linguistics, literary studies, rhetoric and composition) by undergraduate students. It exclusively features works by University of Alaska Anchorage students and is compiled and presented by the Department of English.  Creative works were solicited campus-wide and selected by student editors.  Faculty members in the Department of English selected scholarly works from their courses.
