The two videos, viewed together, show the way Storyspace maps are reconceptulized for the open Web. The reconstruction of Storyspace maps from the original 1996 hypertext relies on D3.js, a modern JavaScript library for data visualization on the Web. Two map views are implemented in the 2021 Web edition. The Hierarchy Map aims at replicating the visual exploration of nodes and links on different layers of the text. The Connections Map displays a list of incoming and outgoing connections and offers a media translation of Storyspace Road Map functionality.
