Loading Screens for the 2001 Edition & 2021 Web Edition of Figurski
The importance of the loading screen to hypertext literature created on the Storyspace platform led the team from the Electronic Literature Lab to simulate it for the reconstruction of the 2021 Edition of Richard Holeton's Figurski at Findhorn on Acid. As mentioned elsewhere in this book, this particular work is structured around the number 3, with the number of Spaces, 354, and Links, 2001, both amounting to 3 when each number is added together (354: 3 + 5 + 4 = 12; 1 + 2 = 3; 2001: 2 + 0 +0 +1 = 3).
