Garifuna Queens (Primary Source)

We are “Garifuna Queens” a non-profit organization who’s trying to bring some form of mentorship, assistant and empowerment to our young and older Garifuna Women. As Garifuna Women we can do better and make our culture stronger. It’s time for a change and time to come together for a better future. Us Garifuna women are all different indeed, but we all have more in common than we all think. Let’s share our knowledge, start networking and assisting each other for a better future. Our Goal:

-For Garifuna Women to believe in one another 
-Mentor and empower all females 
-Bring light to topics that our community doesn’t talk about
-Help needy family

Garifuna Queens es una organización que sirve como un refugio para mujeres garifuna. A través de esta página las mujeres Comunican sus dudas, miedos, metas y pide consejo sobe situaciones personales de la comunidad. Esta organización comenzó como una página de Facebook y se convirtió en una organización real con las credenciales para ampliar su alcance a partir de la ciudad de Nueva York. El presidente de esta organización tiene la ambición que las mujeres garífunas se unirán a través de las fronteras. Para la unidad sera transgeneracional,  usado la historia común de la madres que han luchado las dificultades de la migración e hijas que no conocen su patrimonio.
