Teche Federal Saving & Loan, Franklin, 1960
In 1934, St. Mary Parish residents Isidore Friedman, W. McKerral O'Niell, R. E. Brumby, Norman Bauer, and Van Gautreaux founded Teche Federal Savings and Loan Association. The bank hired its first full-time employee, W. Ross Little, in 1956. Later on, in 1960, the bank set up an office at 211 Willow Street, having previously operated at the St. Mary Bank & Trust building. In 2014, IberiaBank acquired Teche Federal, and in 2019, IberiaBank merged with First Horizon. Ory Miguez photographed an architectural drawing of the new bank.
