St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Four Corners, 1961
In 1960, two new Catholic church parishes were established in Four Corners and Glencoe: St. Peter the Apostle and St. Joan of Arc. Reverend Jerome Haines served as the pastor of both churches. The first confirmation for these parishes took place on Saturday, May 6, 1961, at the St. Peter the Apostle Church (1325 Big 4 Corners Road), officiated by Reverend Maurie Schexnayder, Bishop of Lafayette. The Diocese of Lafayette established the parish's CCD (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine).
