Franklin High School, Franklin
The new Franklin Senior High School opened in November 1956 on U.S. Highway West. Robert Angelle Construction from Breaux Bridge constructed the new building at an estimated cost of $600,000. To build the new high school, the western wards of the parish were merged into a single school district. The town installed sidewalks, a one-way street, and a traffic control point to ensure student safety.
