Haydel Barber Shop and Franklin Stationers, 1967

Haydel's Barber Shop and Franklin Stationers occupied the building that once housed the Franklin Post Office in the early 1900s, located at 214 Willow Street.

Haydel's Barber Shop was home to barbers Benny Governdale, T.A. Daigle, and Hinton Haydel.

In 1953, A.P. Gautreau established Franklin Stationers. Gautreaux had previously owned the Patterson Tribune, the Franklin Banner, and the St. Mary Tribute, which later merged into the Franklin Banner-Tribune. Upon retiring, he opened Franklin Stationers at 720 Main Street, which later moved to 212 Willow Street in 1955.
