This Ice-cream recipe belongs to two young women, Anyia and Mia. They were interviewed at the Public Art Saint Paul Sweet & Spring Rolling FreshLo community meal at Hmongtown Market Place, Febuary 18th 2017, as part of the Art of Food in Frogtown and Rondo.
"Can you give us the ice-cream recipe?" "Yeah sure!"
Aliya, a young woman very passionate about ice cream, shares the recipe:
2 teaspoons full of vanilla extract
3 teaspoons of honey
6 teaspoons of ice-cream salt.
About one cup on milk
"Stir until honey is gone, then pour it into a small bag, then, put some ice in a big zip-lock bag with the ice-cream salt, and put the small zip-lock bag in the middle." After, shake it for 8-10 minutes, or until it reaches the consistency you enjoy!
Mia also shares an ice-cream recipe, but she adds ideas for toppings!
"Sprinkles...oreos...chocolate... maybe some coconut!"
