Feeding a Crowd

Elise Hanson - Personal Bio

Hello! My name is Elise Hanson and I am a Hamline student majoring in Environmental Studies  with a concentration in food studies. I became interested in food as a child when I began to cook with my family. In college I attended an alternative spring break trip to Growing Power in Milwaukee, WI which sparked my interest in food justice. From there I began taking classes, doing research, and working with community partners in the Urban Farm and Garden Alliance to learn more about local and nationwide food justice work.

I am interested in curating stories about systems change, imagining a new food future, food and recipe stories, stories of overcoming injustice, stories of now(current struggles/fights) and stories of reconciliation.
