Feeding a Crowd

Peter Schlecht Bio

I am an undergraduate at Hamline University studying environmental studies with a concentration in digital media arts. I was raised mostly in Northfield, MN where I spent a lot of time around agriculture and was involved in community sustainability projects. I am interested mostly in alternative agriculture technologies, specifically those that create a looped system that minimizes inputs and waste (hydroponics, aeroponics, etc...). I am also interested in art that itself creates a looped system and can help inspire others to notice how much they can reuse in their own lives (for a "potent" example, see Brad Troemel's "Self-Cleaning Urinal and Water Fountain"). In my spare time I enjoy listening to and playing music with friends, hardcore relaxation, eating well, and producing poetry and comedy.
