alone, stranded for days on end
he’d hope for a spirit to awaken his own
so desperate to break free
and there she was
singing him a ballad:
So far lost were you
down the dark, dim hole
a sense of fear to subdue
yet you never found your way around
too weak to play the role
you had one desire: to lift up your soul
yet you never came through
now I’m tired
tired of waiting
aching for you to come back
you never did, you never will
oh, the feelings that you lack

tired of trying
in my attempt to remind you
of the very first day
the first day I had met you:
