Nohl, Ludwig (1831-1885)

Ludwig Nohl (b Iserlohn, 5 Dec 1831; d Heidelberg, 15 December 1885). Music scholar and writer, whose works included monographs on Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn, Liszt, and Wagner, as well as edited collections of composers' letters. Nohl was based in Munich from 1865–1872.
