"A closing hymn"
"A Closing Hymn" (Eddy #109)—This hymn, not surprisingly, closes out Eddy’s book. It is taken from Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s The Rime of the Ancient Mariner but fits as a closing song: “Farewell, farewell! But to this I tell, / To thee, thou wedding guest” and also for an animal organization: “He prayeth well, who loveth well, Both man and bird and beast” (v. 1). We always ended our Bands of Mercy choir rehearsals with this hymn.
