She'd be a Baby in France
Facing the mirror
Big dark armoire
Framing the image
Histories of clothing hidden inside
She doesn’t speak to it
She feels all the outfits behind
What movements must’ve been worn
What lives live inside
Does she react to the expressions she sees
Or know to move from herself behind eyes
What fables must’ve presented
What truths had hung bare
In the age of infancy
Her image she knows will always live there
