I Walk On

On days that blur and nights that still, I think of you.
When my heart races and my hands shake,
My throat tightens, and I cannot breathe, I think of you.
You were the one that stole from me.
You were the one that destroyed me.
When I see the ocean I remember that night,
When I hear the song you played my body quakes.
With the shivering of my legs I have learned to walk.
I have walked with the fear in my heart,
And the scar in my soul.
I have ran with the rage at myself,
And the anxiety in my head.
You who have taken something so precious to me,
You who thought you were lord.
You are no lord for even though I am scared,
Even though I am broken,
I still walk on into the sunlight that fills me with joy.
