Aurora
She waltzes
in blues, greens, and violets
she dances in the eve of a new day.
She tiptoes on top
of snow-capped Denali,
barely shaking the Earth.
She is unpredictable,
and still comes every night
before opening Heaven’s gates.
I wish to be her, a free spirit,
pumping life like veins
of light through the sky.
Keep singing the song of the dawn,
color the moon and stars
my gentle Aurora
in blues, greens, and violets
she dances in the eve of a new day.
She tiptoes on top
of snow-capped Denali,
barely shaking the Earth.
She is unpredictable,
and still comes every night
before opening Heaven’s gates.
I wish to be her, a free spirit,
pumping life like veins
of light through the sky.
Keep singing the song of the dawn,
color the moon and stars
my gentle Aurora
