Thanks for your patience during our recent outage at scalar.usc.edu. While Scalar content is loading normally now, saving is still slow, and Scalar's 'additional metadata' features have been disabled, which may interfere with features like timelines and maps that depend on metadata. This also means that saving a page or media item will remove its additional metadata. If this occurs, you can use the 'All versions' link at the bottom of the page to restore the earlier version. We are continuing to troubleshoot, and will provide further updates as needed. Note that this only affects Scalar projects at scalar.usc.edu, and not those hosted elsewhere.

Schrecka2fcfe32c1f76dc9d5ebe09475fa72e5633cc36dThis project was started by Christopher Schreck, former Archives Manager at the Steelworks Center of the West, and continues to be updated and edited by him whenever possible. Much of the information contained in this digital exhibit was provided by staff members and interns from the Steelworks Center and comes from primary source documents held in their archives. Other information was obtained from numerous books that include, but are not limited to, those found on our Books and Other Resources page. This exhibit links to other Scalar projects that were created either by Steelworks Center staff members or CSU-Pueblo history students, the authors of which are noted in those particular pages. For questions, comments, or to submit additional information to be included in this project, please contact the editor at cj.schreck@icloud.com.
